(A) Bench + Chest :: 531 Cycle 1 Week 1

Mood: So it begins.

Starting this new program, I want to keep it really, really simple.

Doing 531 with Boring But Big Assistance Template.

In lieu of straight up Bench, I swap that out with Incline DB Bench Press for the same weight (total).

Warm-ups
  • Bench Press 10 reps 45#
  • Bench Press 5 reps 70#
  • Bench Press 5 reps 900#
  • Bench Press 3 reps 110#
Sets
  • Bench Press 5 reps 65% 115#
  • Bench Press 5 reps 75% 135#
  • Bench Press 5 reps 85% 155#
Big But Boring
  • Incline Close Grip DB Bench Press 5×8 50% 90#

Results: Solid. Super solid.

Supplements: C4 taken 30 minutes prior to working out.

Daily: Whey ProteinCreatine (for the one extra rep and swoleness) and Fish Oil (joints) everyday.
