(B) OHP, Deadlifts, Shoulders :: Greyskull LP Week 14

Mood: Weak

Thursday night, I went out for OHPs and Deadlifts. and the gym was crowded af. Let me correct myself: both squats were occuppied which to me, it might as well be n2b in there.

I have one gal banging out Squats in 15-rep sets and this other gal doing Olympic lifts. With these ding dong hex plates. No dropping.

I sit my bag next to the racks as if to say, “I got next”. Just then, three swole mfs roll up waiting.

They wanted the power rack. I wanted the squat rack. G2G.

I began my OHPs and those guys started doing Rack Deadlifts starting their warm-ups with 3plates and working up to 5plates for 3 reps a set.

The lesser point here is that I didn’t feel out of place. We all had come to get work done. The greater point is that I was the weakest guy.

When it comes to lifting, that is a really good thing.

When you are the weakest guy in racks, that means you get to learn to the most.

Here’s the workout:

  • Overhead Press 2×5 100#
    • Front Plate Raise 5×14 45#
  • Romanian Deadlifts 3×10 155#
  • Deadlifts 4×3 305#
  • Overhead Press 100# for 10 reps
  • Deadlifts 30# for 6 reps
  • Lat Pulldown 3×8 185#

Results: Still weak.

I had to drop my reps for my Squats and Deadlifts from 5 to 3.  Three I can knock out. Five is getting too hard. I am going to keep climbing until I get my belt in.

Supplements: C4 taken 30 minutes prior to working out.

Daily: Whey ProteinCreatine (for the one extra rep and swoleness) and Fish Oil (joints) everyday.

Not cutting. Just a light day of eating.
