Press + Squats :: Pre-Stronglifts 5×5 Week 7 DRM

Mood: After missing a week of training, I was fired up. So much so I started the week on a Saturday.

Here’s the workout:

Warm-ups:
  • KB Halos – 16kg 3×10
  • KB Goblet Squats – 16kg 3×5
Training:

The Busta Rhymes:

  • KB Press – 32kg x 9 (PR) plus 9 DRM – Freak it!
  • KB Front Squat – 48kg x3 (PR) plus 6 DRM – Rad!

To that end, I saw this posted by Mark Reifkind:

Second of all, I just noticed that his heel’s are elevated and essentially doing hacksquats off the balls of his feet. Someone says this kills lower quads. Mark said he never thought would be able to do it. I might have to take a stab at it on my next Squat day.

Results: Tremendous. The heaviest workout I have had since training. I love it and I want more of it.
